I have been working in the area of supplier diversity for over 10 years and it still surprises me how many prime contractors don’t understand the value of developing a partnership to work with a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) firm to do business together.

Simply put, the MBE firm opens doors for the prime to a market that they could possibly not enter alone.  By working together on projects the prime contributes their experience to the MBE and in return gains a percentage of the business. It’s a WIN-WIN as I see it!
